Ex- National Football League wide receiver Antonio Brown is traveling to Miami to face an attempted murder accusation related to a gunfire that occurred in May, with his lawyer submitting a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Detention records in Essex, New Jersey, indicate that Brown was freed on Tuesday early for his relocation to the state of Florida. Brown, one of the most popular players in the National Football League, had waived transfer to Florida from New Jersey, where he was taken after being arrested in Dubai.

Brown’s attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, said in an email that he has already lodged a documented not guilty plea to the attempted murder allegation. Brown could be in a Miami hearing as early as Wednesday early for a bail proceeding, Eiglarsh added.

As per his arrest warrant, Brown is accused of taking a pistol from a safety employee after a public figure match bout in May and firing two shots at a individual he had fought with previously.
